Mission Statement of Sharevival at the Blueberry Patch, Inc.

“The very fact that we are surviving all these years, that we are still energizing, still offering a space and a stage to those artists who want to share and give off their goodness, that is a blessing all by itself.”

“The Patch is still here and we’re getting’ it better all the time...We are going forth abundantly...This is what I want to be understood.”

“Whatever comes up now is only part of the growth. It’s not that we’ve arrived, it’s like, we’ve always been arriving.”

“Come on over. Snatch a piece of paradise. Golly! You are so welcome!”

The Blueberry Patch, founded on 7/7/77 by the late Dallas Bohrer, is a peace-loving community of artists, writers, musicians, and

those who appreciate and support the arts. The Blueberry Patch is a location for the freedom of music, art, written and spoken

word, and performance.  Sharevival at the Blueberry Patch, Inc., a Federal 501c3 non-profit, is the power behind the “Patch”. Its

ultimate goal is to keep the Blueberry Patch alive as one of Florida’s oldest thriving artist’s retreats. The Patch strives to give to

back to the community through recurring multi-functional social events, revolving around art, music, and literature, offering a

place for personal growth and acceptance. It is a gathering place for artists, writers, artisans, musicians, and those who

appreciate and support the arts. It is a place which provides a stage and setting for local artists, authors, and musicians to

entertain each other and the people of Gulfport and surrounding communities at least four times each month.
